Pakistan's top soldiers in crisis talks Video

Pakistan's military chief has summoned his top commanders for talks amid a widening rift between the armed forces and the civilian government that led to the dismissal of the country's top defence official.

Thursday's meeting, headed by General Ashfaq Kayani behind closed doors at army headquarters, comes ahead of a parliamentary session to discuss the latest developments in the so-called "memo-gate" scandal which has pushed the country into political and legal crisis.

@reprimand33 In '47 we won the war we had liberated virtually all of Kashmir and it was India that ran to the UN and demanded Pakistani forces (which included a few? tribesman) vacate their positions and allow a referendum. Pak was stupid for trusting the kafir but they did thinking the UN was a force for good but the moment we vacated our positions Bharati cowards immediately occupied and fortified them and why Kashmir is still occupied and they refuse to follow UN resolutions

In '71 we our air force had a 3:1 kill ratio as evidenced by USAF Gen (ret'd) Chuck Yeager in his autobiography but we lost because Bengali's betrayed us and the Mukti Bahini went on to slaughter Behari Muslims. However, there are lies about PAK forces and their? conduct (which was honorable) as evidenced by Sarmila Bose in her book "Dead Reckoning"

@reprimand33 First, the aid you're referring to is? not economic it was military AID which they gave so that the armed forces would move troops into the border area it's similar to what the US gives to Egypt's military. Pakistan doesn't need it (will have no effect on economy) and it's evidenced by the fact that Pakistan's military has refused to take it after the Abbottabad raid. Pakistan lost $70 billion because of our involvement with the US we are better off not cooperating.

@kashmanism Totally agree, even transparency international found that Pakisan military is the second least corrupt institution in Pakistan (after the ministry of education and that's probably because that? piece of s**t Zardari and the rest of government especially PPP don't fund that department much anyways). I am fully behind the security services and armed forces of Pakistan which has an approval rating of at least 80% (should be at 90% but I won't get into that here).

Pakistani people trust only one institute in the country and that is army. govt is the most corrupt in the history and almost working for the destruction of the country. if this govt doesn't stand the water blockade of Pakistani rivers by India, terrorism supported by both sides of Pakistani? border (sponsored by Indian secret agency RAW), and drone strikes that are killing civillians of Pakistan, Pakistani people will not support it against any army coup.

Keyani is a smart man, he knows that nothing good will come from a military coup right? now. He's gonna wait from the next prime? minister and president ((i.e Imran Khan)) to get the country back in order from Zardari's massive corruption, and then use his power to get the military back on top (supposing Zardari doesn't take Keyani down with himself, after all, they both are members? of PPP, Keyani just happens to regret being a member of the party).
